The duo has composed a series of "Gatos", which complement the 12 "Chacareras" that can be heard on their latest CD (and of course on Spotify and similar sites).
The "Gato" is a traditional dance from northern Argentina, with a well-defined choreography. The music also has its rules.
Piarango has followed these, for the most part, allowing himself the freedom to change them at a moment's notice.
The new Gatos are being unveiled, little by little, at the duo's recent concerts, which, as always, receive enthusiastic ovations from the audience.
